Observation – Conformation & Gait Analysis
In this lab, we will be looking at the conformation of horses and analyzing gaits of different horses. Student will develop an understanding of what “good” conformation is and how conformational defects impact the horse from an biomechanical standpoint, as well as, an overall health standpoint. Students will also learn about the gaits and abnormalities that can occur within the gaits. These are essential to determining the appropriate treatment plan and ongoing care of the horse.
